Abstract

In today's businesses, it is seen that the patriarchal management patterns of the past gradually lose their effect and business organizational structures are formed in which women are more involved. Although the increase of women in the business world is considered as a positive development, not many studies have been done on the perceptions created by the employees. The main question of this research is: Do you want to work with male or female managers? Why? In this context, the main purpose of the research is to determine the positive and negative aspects and preferability of working with male and female managers through the perceptions of the employees. Content analysis, one of the qualitative research methods, was used in the research. As a sample, 15 employees were determined. The MAXQDA 20 program was used for the analysis of the data obtained, and also was benefiting from the Hierarchical Code-Sub Code Model to determine the positive and negative characteristics of male and female managers. As a result of the research, it was determined that the employees preferred to work with male managers more.
